Outfall - 2009
This image started as an abstract, but somehow also became a reflection on our culture and economy. It is interesting how the colors, the grid-like overlays, and the shapes contribute to an ambiguity of meaning that the imagery of the pipe and wall alone could not carry.
Great image. It’s much more interesting that any shot of an outfall could usually be.
Excellent composition and notan!!
Thanks razzbuffnik. Funny thing, there wasn’t even any water coming out of the real pipe!
And thank you, Jala!
rarely do i understand abstracts due to my lack of insight (i guess) but sometimes things touch me, and this is one of those rare moments, the colours, the shapes, the depth… just stunning Donald. r.
Hi rahina, thanks so much for stopping back and for your generous response!
Ok. This is drop dead terrific. Donald Rauschenberg. Hail.
Thanks Pat! A great compliment – even if it does make me laugh.
