Fish Lips

I saw these guys on ice in an open air market in New York last year, and finally got around to working with the image. I don’t know what kind of fish they are, but it’s clear they’d been giving the passers-by a lot of lip.

Fire in the Belly

I was intrigued by the strength and curve of the neck and mane of this horse at pasture. Repeating that curve from the other side of this otherwise pastoral image revealed the fire in his belly.

Karla the Dog

Due to popular demand from the powers that be, including the dog, I am posting a “nice” portrait of Karla. So here she is, in her favorite spot on the bed with a view of the ocean, a bone in her paws, and the breeze blowing in. It’s a tough life. So now tomorrow we’ll get back to some serious business, right Karla?

She’s a really sweet dog, even if a little narrow-minded.

This guy stopped by the other night, stuck his nose into my private dungeon, smiled and swam off. I’ll probably never know what he wanted.

Guard Dog at Boiler Bay

I was working on a beach scene, when this little doggie popped into view. Well, I just couldn’t shoo him away, so I let him be the star! Sometimes the unexpected can add a smile to the day.
