Narrow and tall with a dark green skin, the black pineapple is a Caribbean favorite. Topped with rust-tinged leaves, this one seems to glow with sweetness.
Another nice one! Looks like a skyscraper with the perspective. Now I’m imagining a city made of fruits…I’ll meet you at the Pomegrante building under the clock.
I’m with Pat on this one and I’m reminded of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur at night.
Hey Pat and razzbuffnik, I like the idea of a “fruit city”!
Mmm…my mouth is watering. Why’s it called black, though?
Hi Jala- It is one of the best pineapples I’ve ever had. Sweet-sweet, and juicy. Of course, it was picked ripe and shipped all of 3 miles to my house! I think I read these are called “black” because they remain a dark green even when ripe — not the usual orangey-yellow.
Very cool work! I really enjoy this pinapple piece. Nice use of texture and color.
